If there is one thing you will learn about us at the Kitts Ridge Farm is we LOVE dessert! Every night after dinner Kevin always asks me what is for dessert. A lot of times I haven’t a clue because I haven’t thought that far ahead. So one particular night after we got the kids to bed I came up with an idea. While Kevin went to check on the cattle, I decide to cut up an opened banana that the kiddos did not eat. I sliced it up added some almond butter and chocolate, you can never go wrong with this combination. It was a perfect way to satisfy the sweet tooth and not feel guilty for over indulging. It is a fast and easy dessert and can be topped with nuts, orange zest or whatever your heart desires.
Ingredients
1 large banana, sliced
4 tsp. almond butter
8 chocolate squares, organic chocolate bar
3 Tbsp. pecans, crushed
Directions
Cover a cookie pan with parchment paper. Lay eight banana slices onto parchment paper. Next add ½ tsp. of almond butter on top of each banana slice. Then place one chocolate square onto almond butter, pressing slightly. Slide into a 250° oven for about 4 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Remove and add crushed pecans on top of melted chocolate. Enjoy!
