Chocolate Covered Banana

If there is one thing you will learn about us at the Kitts Ridge Farm is we LOVE dessert! Every night after dinner Kevin always asks me what is for dessert. A lot of times I haven’t a clue because I haven’t thought that far ahead. So one particular night after we got the kids to bed I came up with an idea. While Kevin went to check on the cattle, I decide to cut up an opened banana that the kiddos did not eat. I sliced it up added some almond butter and chocolate, you can never go wrong with this combination. It was a perfect way to satisfy the sweet tooth and not feel guilty for over indulging. It is a fast and easy dessert and can be topped with nuts, orange zest or whatever your heart desires.

Then place one chocolate square onto almond butter, pressing slightly. Slide into a 250° oven for about 4 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Remove and add crushed pecans on top of melted chocolate. Enjoy!
